Jimmy Reed
Area Director

Jimmy is from Bothell, Washington, where he graduated from Bothell High School, go Cougars! He ran track and tried his hand at football during his school years. He has been married for almost 14 years to Bekah, and they are proud parents to two boys, Calvin and Theo. The family doesn’t have any pets—other than their collection of Pokémon. In his free time, Jimmy enjoys being outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, and playing football or basketball. He also loves bonding with his kids over the Pokémon card game and wrestling on the trampoline. He first joined Young Life in 2019 and has since experienced personal renewal through the ministry while serving students and families. He’s passionate about Young Life because it’s a powerful way for young people to experience God’s goodness, love, and kindness. A fun (and not-so-fun) fact about him is that he had to wear braces three times, but on a more adventurous note, he has hiked the Leavenworth Enchantments twice!

Emily Deyonker
Area Administrator

Emily grew up in Snohomish, Washington, and graduated from Snohomish High School. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games with her husband, Jon, spending time by the ocean or lake, and sipping on (more than) a few coffees a day. Fun fact: Emily is a true ambivert—she loves a good party with friends just as much as a quiet night in, especially if it involves a good episode of Survivor.

Jenna Smith
High School Director

Originally from the Bay Area and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Jenna graduated with a B.A. in Youth Ministry from Azusa Pacific University and is currently pursuing a Masters of Ministry Leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary. She and her husband Toby were married in 2021 and welcomed their lazy rescue pup, Prim, in 2022. Jenna joined Young Life staff in 2022, leading high school students, and loves how Young Life empowers leaders to meet kids where they’re at, offering support, mentorship, and a safe space for real conversations. When not working with students, she enjoys rock climbing, crocheting, drinking coffee, and reading. Fun fact: she’ll try any food at least once!

Braelynn Cooper
YoungLives Director

Braelynn grew up in Everett and graduated from Sequoia High School. She enjoys spending time with her husband Brett, two kids and their dog Bella. She credits YoungLife for her faith because in 2007 as a teen mom she attended a YoungLives camp with her baby in tow. 10 years later, she brought her first group of teen moms to the same camp! She volunteered for 2 years and since then has been on staff for 7 years. Fun fact: she loves rock climbing and is also a huge movie buff!
